May all play be work, and work be all play.
Once upon a time when we were kids, we were joyful and playful. We didn’t have a sense of self or ego, We were just joy chasers. Anyone who made us laugh was a friend. Each day mattered, and we didn’t think of tomorrow. Joyful feelings were vivid and real.
And then as we grew older, play was replaced by work, friends were replaced by colleagues, Our carefree attitude was overwhelmed by goals and ambitions, we started taking ourselves too seriously, and joy lost its vividness.
Maybe that inner-child is the key to reclaiming that joy.
